lovemedo Embraces Vulnerability with 'Baby On A Bottle' and Announces Anticipated Debut EP

  • 2 min read

Sydney-based artist lovemedo dives into a state of raw, introspective emotion with the release of his new single, 'Baby On a Bottle'. The single heralds the announcement of his highly anticipated debut EP, 'sit me down, shut me up!' out May 24th, promising an intimate exploration of his artistic identity.

'Baby On A Bottle' embodies the essence of lovemedo's artistry. “Its melancholy, nostalgic, and self-aware," he explains. "Those are feelings I look for in records and, making this song felt like it was the first time I had achieved all of that at once." The track emerged during a period of deep disassociation for the artist. "I guess that’s why it turned out to be a very cinematic and ethereal expression of that," he reflects. "I always admire true vulnerability on a track and, this is my shot at being as naked as possible on record."

Alongside the single release, lovemedo will share the full picture of his intensely personal project with the 'sit me down, shut me up!' EP. Written, recorded, produced, and mixed entirely by lovemedo, the six-track collection reveals a multi-dimensional songwriter. He seamlessly navigates through themes of grief, pain, lightness, and laughter with a unique sonic blend that defies genre boundaries.

Until this moment, these songs have existed as lovemedo's private refuge. Now, he's eager to share this emotional journey with his listeners. “I truly want people to feel recognized by these songs,” he says. “I want there to be almost a feeling of these songs pre-existing for them to one day stumble upon. That they have the feeling of it belonging to them.”
